Super Match - Advanced Property Synchronization

Copy parameter values from one element to any number of others — either instantly for every matching parameter, or selectively through a review dialog.

General Description

Super Match is a split button with two related but different commands: Super Match copies every writable, matching parameter from a source element to your target selection in one step, no dialog. Match Parameters opens a dialog first, so you can review the source element's editable parameters and choose exactly which ones to copy before applying them to your targets. Both filter out geometric constraints and read-only parameters automatically.

Requirements

Usage Procedure

Super Match (copy everything, no review)

1. Open Super Match from the split button on the Model panel (Frata ribbon tab).
2. Pick the source element.
3. Pick one or more target elements (limited to the source's category), then press Finish.
4. Every writable, matching parameter is copied immediately — there's no review step or confirmation dialog.

Match Parameters (choose what to copy)

1. Open Match Parameters from the same split button.
2. Pick the source element. If it has no editable parameters, you'll see: "The selected source element has no editable parameters available to copy."
3. In the Match Parameters dialog, use the search box to find parameters, and check the ones you want under Editable parameters (Parameter / Value columns).
4. Press Copy parameters, then select the target elements in the model.
5. Review the result — it reports how many parameters were copied to how many targets, and flags any elements that had issues.

Recommendations

• Use Super Match for a quick, all-or-nothing copy between very similar elements (e.g. duplicating one column's full setup onto several identical columns).
• Use Match Parameters whenever you only want specific fields copied (e.g. just Identity Data or Phasing) without touching everything else on the target elements.
• Both commands run in a single transaction, so Undo (Ctrl+Z) reverts the whole copy if something looks wrong.

What's the actual difference between Super Match and Match Parameters? Super Match copies every writable, matching parameter immediately with no review. Match Parameters opens a dialog first so you can pick exactly which parameters to copy — same underlying idea, different level of control.

I got the message "Check at least one parameter to copy." Why? You pressed Copy parameters in the Match Parameters dialog without checking any parameter in the table. Check at least one, then try again.

I got the message "No target elements were selected." Why? After picking parameters in Match Parameters, you need to select target elements in the model when prompted. Cancelling that pick, or pressing Escape, leaves nothing to copy to.

Some target elements "had copy issues." What does that mean? One or more selected parameters couldn't be written on those specific elements (often because the parameter doesn't exist there, or is read-only for that element type). Review those elements individually.
